Those With Ethics Need Not Apply

Boston College, which prides itself on teaching business ethics, has admitted that one of its administrators took the names of likely applicants with him when he resigned from Northeastern University.

The administrator sent letters to students who were being courted by Northeastern’s business school and invited them to tour BC’s campus.

The action was protested by Northeastern officials, who say at least 600 names were on the list.

“It’s perfectly expected that to get ahead in one’s career, one moves from school to school, and to increasingly higher positions,” Mary Breslauer, a spokesperson for Northeastern, said. “The issue is what you throw in your briefcase on the way out the door.”

The BC administrator has offered to resign.
