Reader Challenges Some Remarks Ascribed to Her

I would like to take issue with the way my remarks were summarized in the Feb. 4 article about young children and homework. As the mother of twins in two different classes, I don’t even presume to know which homework method described in the story is “more effective.” I do know that I am privileged to have both of my sons in classes with fabulous teachers who are always responsive to individual needs, and who constantly seek to be creative in their quest to nurture children’s love for learning.
