Family Ways II

In response to Steven Bochco’s letter last Sunday, in which he lamely attempted to defend nepotism: As someone who has suffered paying dues, learning craft, working for free and still being ignored by Hollywood after 14 years of dedication, I must say that his insensitivity is rivaled only by his arrogance.

Hollywood’s incestuousness is far more than just giving somebody “a break.” When you hire that friend or relative, the chances are very, very high that you cheated someone else more qualified and deserving.

Steven, have fun in your little “in” group.
