WESTMINSTER : Meeting on School Budget Is Moved

To accommodate an expected large audience, the Westminster School District will hold a public hearing on proposed budget cuts Thursday at Webber Elementary School rather than at district headquarters.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the school at 14142 Hoover St.

District Supt. Gail Wickstrom has recommended that the board slash its budget by $1.6 million as a result of continuing declines in state funding. If the district fails to make sufficient cuts, it could face bankruptcy by the 1994-95 school year.
