Soap Actor Overdose: The recent death of Michael Morrison, who played Caleb Snyder on the CBS soap “As the World Turns,” was caused by an accidental overdose of alcohol and illegal drugs, the New York medical examiner’s office reported Friday. Snyder, 33, died in his sleep Feb. 18 at a friend’s Manhattan apartment. A toxicology report lists the cause of death as “acute intoxication caused by the combination of ethanol, cocaine and opiates.” Morrison will continue to appear on “As the World Turns” through March 2 in recorded episodes. After that, the character will be played by Graham Winton, who began taping a week ago.
