Staff Reduction
So, President Clinton wants to set an example of belt tightening for the rest of the nation. He will lay off 25% of his staff. This is not leading by example, but merely following the trend.
Mr. President, if you would like to set an example of substance and mission to this nation you would fire no one. You would instead cut the salaries of your top 2% to a level that is less obscene in the face of the poverty in this nation. Then using the money saved, you would hire a few thousand of those unemployed homeless Americans who are freezing just outside your gate.
