Musical Chairs: CBS News has hired Sandra Hughes as its new Los Angeles correspondent, replacing Cinny Kennard, who will be reassigned to Moscow. Hughes comes to CBS News after serving as a reporter at CBS affiliates in St. Louis, Louisville, Ky., and Richmond, Va. Kennard’s move to Moscow is one of a trio of correspondent shifts at CBS: Moscow correspondent Anthony Mason, whom Kennard is replacing, will move to “CBS Evening News With Dan Rather,” covering breaking stories and contributing to the program’s “Eye on America” series, and veteran Mark Phillips, a Washington-based general assignment correspondent since 1988, will return to the network’s London bureau.
