SilentRadio Seeking to Recoup Investment

Share

SilentRadio Inc., a Chatsworth-based provider of information services, said it is negotiating with a New York advertising firm to recover cash and other expenses after SilentRadio’s abrupt departure from a joint venture.

Last March, SilentRadio agreed with Site-Based Media Inc. of New York and some other parties to form a new network, called On-Site Media Inc., that would broadcast entertainment and commercials in supermarkets. But SilentRadio said in a recent news release that “without any prior notice, it was asked to withdraw from the joint venture.”

SilentRadio said it had contributed “personnel, capital and technology” to the joint venture. SilentRadio did not say how much it was trying to recover, and its chief executive, Lewis Solomon, could not be reached for comment.
