Quality Check: Miami-based Spanish language network Telemundo has launched an aggressive public service media campaign focusing on the quality of education for Hispanic-Americans. The campaign, entitled “De Padres a Hijos” (From Parents to Children), will feature television specials, 800 number helplines and scholarship programs on the theme of parental empowerment. The first news special, which will air Wednesday on the local Telemundo affiliate KVEA Channel 52, focuses on school violence.
