WOMEN’S BASKETBALL : USC Rallies to Beat Washington State

USC needed a 19-6 run to end the game to escape with a 55-52 victory over Washington State in a Pacific 10 Conference game Saturday night at Pullman.
The No. 15-ranked Trojans (20-5 overall, 13-3 in the Pac-10) trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half. Lisa Leslie, who had a game-high 22 points, scored six during the decisive run.
Erika Wheeler had 13 points to lead Washington State (7-19, 3-14).
Washington 80, UCLA 72--The Bruins had four players in double figures, but it wasn’t enough against the Huskies in a Pac-10 game at Seattle.
Laura Moore had a game-high 22 points and Rhonda Smith added 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Washington (15-11, 10-7), which outrebounded UCLA, 38-31.
Natalie Williams led the Bruins (12-13, 7-9) with 21 points. Nicole Anderson added 17, Amy Jalewalia 16 and Michelle Palmisano 12.
