GM Files Appeal on Plant-Closing Decision: General Motors Corp. has asked the Michigan Supreme Court for a speedy review of a lower court ruling that blocked the auto maker from closing its Willow Run assembly plant in Ypsilanti, Mich. “We are confident that an impartial review of the facts and law by the appellate court will result in a prompt reversal,” the auto maker said in a statement.
