GARDEN GROVE : Public May View Proposed Textbooks
New elementary social studies and spelling textbooks recommended for purchase by the Garden Grove Unified School District can be reviewed by the public through March 16 at the district administration office.
Review times are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Media Technology Center, with extended viewing hours today from 5 to 8 p.m in the district annex building. Evaluation forms will be provided for visitors, district spokesman Alan Trudell said.
The new list of recommended books includes titles for first-grade spelling and fourth- through sixth-grade social science.
All textbooks being recommended for adoption have been evaluated by teachers, district staff and administrators and judged on criteria including organization, accuracy and content. For more information, call (714) 663-6188.
