A Los Angeles man has been indicted on federal bank robbery charges in connection with three Ventura County heists dating back to mid-January.

Karey Jerome Long, 29, was arrested shortly after a Feb. 18 robbery at a First Nationwide Bank branch at 49 N. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks, said Gary Auer, supervisor of the Ventura County office of the FBI.

Long and his vehicle had been described by witnesses at the bank and he was stopped a short time later on California 23 by Ventura County sheriff’s deputies, Auer said.
