NEWPORT BEACH, COSTA MESA : Panel to Aid Search for Superintendent
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District Board of Education this week appointed 50 people to the superintendent interview committee.
The committee, which is made up of teachers, staff, parents, students and representatives from community organizations, will begin interviewing candidates for the top district position in May.
Before that happens, the committee will meet March 24 for orientation with Richard Montgomery of California School Boards Assn., the firm hired to conduct the search for superintendent.
Candidate interviews will take place during the week of May 17. The district hopes to have a superintendent in place by summer.
