OTHER GREEN CARD: For months, Costa Mesa’s Ron Charter has used his own credit-card system to gather goods for the needy. Today, he gets to watch it pay off. . . . With the help of 30 volunteers, Charter will pass out six tons of clothes, starting at 7 a.m., at his 1630 Superior Ave. center, to people who need them. More than 2,000 are expected. “These are the landfills of the ‘90s,” Charter says. He takes trade-ins, mainly clothes, in exchange for credit which customers can use at member businesses.
