Share

The John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation has awarded a $124,000 grant to the Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies based at the UCLA Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning.

The grant will fund research on the effect of immigrants on the Los Angeles economy. Census data will be used to analyze changes in trends of immigrant entry, assimilation and mobility. Researchers will also examine immigrants in the local labor force, competition among immigrants themselves and competition with non-migrant populations.

The Haynes Foundation makes grants in support of higher education and research in social sciences.
