Granola Bars Recalled: Quaker Oats Co. issued a five-state recall of 1,600 cases of granola bars that may contain small particles of metal. The recall affects certain shipments of the chocolate-chip flavored Quaker Chewy Granola Bars made to California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island. Consumers who have purchased granola bars from these shipments may return them to the store for a full refund, the Chicago-based company said. No customers have called with complaints about the granola bars. The affected shipments likely haven’t yet made it to store shelves.
