Robert F. Elfant has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president of continuous improvement for Western Digital Corp. He was previously senior vice president, storage products operations for the Irvine computer products company. According to Western Digital, Elfant will focus on the development and implementation of CPI (Continuous Process Improvement), a process that was started at the company in 1990.
