Massive GM Recall: General Motors is recalling about 1.8 million 1988-93 full-size Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles with automatic transmissions because of possible transmission fluid fires. GM also said it is recalling about 20,000 1991-1992 Chevrolet Caprice police cars and wagons because of possible electrical fires. The first recall involves 1988-93 Chevrolet and GMC full-size trucks and 1992 Suburban, Blazer and Yukon vehicles with 5-liter, 5.7-liter and 7.4-liter engines and automatic transmissions.
