Action at the Newsstands: Just days before Publisher Paul Holmes left Action Sports magazine for greener pastures, the trade publication announced that it planned to expand delivery to a small number of newsstands.

It’s uncertain what effect Holmes’ unexpected departure will have on that plan. The magazine, which circulates among manufacturers of so-called active wear, has in recent months broadened its editorial content to include articles of general interest.
