CLOSER SCRUTINY FOR CHRISTOPHER
The incisive picture of Christopher helped me understand how a varied background and experience have combined to create a thoughtful and dedicated public servant. While I am a bit worried about that part of his experience that came with his involvement with corporate law firms, his philosophy and inclination toward social issues was encouraging.
I, too, believed the impression given by the press that Christopher was wishy-washy and would not be an effective secretary of state. I now have a hope that we may avoid unnecessary police actions and that Christopher will try non-military measures before committing our armed forces abroad.
