Cowabunga!: The third time’s a charm for those teen-age tortoises: New Line’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III” made it to the top spot at the box office over the weekend with a gross of $12 million for its first weekend in release, according to early industry estimates. (A review of the film appears on Page F9.) Another newcomer, Warner Bros.’ “Point of No Return,” the remake of “La Femme Nikita” starring Bridget Fonda, was next with $6.8 million. Paramount’s UFO movie “Fire in the Sky” came in third with $4.1 million. Close behind was last week’s box-office winner, Universal’s “CB4,” with $4 million. Warner Bros.’ “Groundhog Day” was in fifth place with $3.7 million.
