Semtech Corp. Reports $16,000 4th-Quarter Profit

Semtech Corp., a Newbury Park producer of electronic components, posted a $16,000 profit for its fiscal fourth quarter, compared with a $280,000 loss a year earlier.

The profit in the three months that ended Jan. 31 came on a 13% drop in Semtech’s revenue, to $4.77 million from $5.51 million a year earlier.

For the full fiscal year, Semtech’s profit fell 39%, to $431,000 from $707,000 in fiscal 1992, and its annual revenue fell 24%, to $20.2 million from $26.5 million.
