Survey Says 4th-Quarter GDP Rose 4.8%: The U.S. economy expanded at a 4.8% pace in the fourth quarter of 1992, according to the average of 15 forecasts in a Bloomberg Business News survey. Estimates in the Bloomberg survey ranged from a gain of 4.6% to an increase of 5.0%. The Commerce Department will release its final revision for the October-December gross domestic product Friday. In its initial estimate, the government said the economy grew at a 3.8% annual rate in the fourth quarter. That was later revised to a 4.8% rate, the fastest pace in five years.
