HAVE FAITH: Faith No More may have found an unusual route to the Top 40. The band’s remake of the Commodores’ old hit “Easy” has been added to playlists of more than 90 Top 40-style radio stations around the country. Not only is the Lionel Richie-written song completely different from the metal-rap normally associated with the band, it’s not even on the group’s 1992 “Angel Dust” album. It’s only available on an EP that Slash Records recently released.

Slash President Bob Biggs says that there’s some concern that people who like this song won’t like the band’s normal music, but “having a hit is never a problem. It’s worse not to have anything happening.” But he said that the song will not be added to new pressings of the album, since “core fans have already bought the album and it would be unfair to make them buy it again to get this song.”
