Man Dies After Car Hits Stopped Truck
A 37-year-old Oxnard man died early Saturday after his vehicle slammed into the back of big-rig truck that was stopped at an Oxnard intersection, police said.
Leo Garcia died at about 5:40 a.m. at St. John’s Regional Medical Center after rescue workers from the Oxnard Fire Department freed him from his gray Chevrolet Suburban, police and coroner’s officials said.
Garcia was traveling southbound on Rose Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. when his car hit the truck, Oxnard Police Officer James Stallings said.
