GO FOR GOLD: Aileen Sheron of Santa Ana will try to prove she’s best of the best when she represents the Southwestern Region at the Reebok National Aerobics Championship in Los Angeles beginning Thursday. . . . “I’d love to make top five (out of 11 finalists) . . . and then top three. After that, it’s icing on the cake.” Sheron, who was first nationally in the novice division last year, will perform a 1-minute, 45-second routine judged on personality, skill, presentation and strength moves--four compulsory jumping jacks, sit-ups, pushups and high kicks.
