Larsen 3rd in 800-Meter Freestyle
Alexis Larsen of Calabasas-based CLASS Aquatics placed third in the 800-meter women’s freestyle Wednesday in the national swimming championships in Nashville, Tenn.
Larsen of Pacific Palisades timed 8 minutes 44.88 seconds in finishing behind four-time Olympic gold medalist Janet Evans, who won the event in 8:34.99. Sarah Anderson of San Ramon finished second in 8:44.38.
