GM Subsidiary Accuses VW of Luring Its Executives: General Motors Corp.’s German subsidiary, Adam Opel, accused rival Volkswagen of trying to solve its problems by luring GM and Opel executives with lucrative salary offers. Opel said VW has made offers to more than 40 Opel and GM managers that would in some cases double their salaries. It asked VW to stop the practice. A spokesman for VW rejected the claims and said it is examining the legality of the accusations.
