MUGS’ BIG DAY: County Supervisor Thomas F. Riley has received many awards; he’s even had an airport terminal named after him. But in June he will be honored with the Marine Corps Command and Staff College Foundation’s Semper Fidelis Award for public service since retiring as a Marine general. And he says: “I’m more excited about this than any award I’ve ever received.” . . . In a “Dear Mugs” letter from its president, Riley, 80, learned he’s its first Southern California recipient. Other winners: Former Secretary of State James A. Baker III and Sen. John Glenn.
