Calbert Cheaney of Indiana and Sheryl Swoopes of Texas Tech were voted winners of the Naismith player of the year awards by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
The club also voted Dean Smith of North Carolina and Vivian Stringer of Iowa as coaches of the year.
