If You Didn’t, You Should’ve Sprung Ahead
Most of the United States switches to daylight time today for the next seven months, with clocks turned ahead one hour at 2 a.m. in each time zone.
The time does not change in Arizona, Hawaii and parts of Indiana, which stay on standard time all year. For the rest of the country, standard time returns Oct. 31, the last Sunday of the month.
A bill introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives last week would extend daylight time three more weeks, starting on the third Sunday in March and ending on the first Sunday in November.
Supporters said the additional daylight hours would give Americans more time to spend outdoors in the spring and extra light for children at Halloween.
