A MAN OF FASHION

Pierre Berge (“The Ringmaster of French Culture,” by Jonathan Kandell, Feb. 28) presents the world with what appears to be a volte-face from the Far Left to “business as usual.” But the same thing happened after the 1830 Revolution failed, and the cry was “make money!” Either way, France will remain itself. And so will haute couture.
