Follow the Bouncing Cam
“Don’t Touch That Dial” (TV Times, March 7) aired one of my pet grievances with many of today’s commercials--”bouncing cam.” The first time I noticed it was when it was used in one of Candice Bergen’s “Sprint” spots. The camera was jerking around and it occurred to me that they could not find a working cinematographer at the time. As a student (and fan) of cinematography, it’s very aggravating. It’s time to return to quality composition.
