STANTON : Best-Tended Homes to Get Recognition

Share

The most beautiful residences in the city will be honored this month in the second annual “Stanton Pride” contest.

From Saturday through April 18, volunteers organized by city staffer Denise Archambault will search for the most attractive houses, mobile homes, apartments and condominium complexes in the city.

“We don’t want it to be judged solely on a lavish exterior,” said Archambault, whose teams will drive around town and look for nicely tended landscapes and homes.

“Pride in Ownership” is the motto of the contest.

Last year 16 people were awarded prizes, and one of those winners will judge this year. Awards will be presented at the May 25 City Council meeting. All residents are eligible for the contest except last year’s winners.
