Countywide : Property Tax Due Date Is Monday
The deadline for Ventura County residents to pay the final installment on their 1992 property taxes has been extended from today until Monday, the county’s tax collector said Friday.
“Because our deadline landed on Saturday this year, we have extended the deadline until Monday,” said Harold Pittman, the county’s tax collector. “So long as taxpayers mail their payments with a postmark of April 12, the payments will be on time.”
Pittman also announced that the Tax Collection Office in the County Government Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today to assist taxpayers with last-minute questions.
Taxpayers may pay in person at the office today or Monday.
Mailed payments should be addressed to the Ventura County Tax Collector, County Government Center, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, 93009.
Pittman advised taxpayers who wait until Monday to mail their payments to have their envelope postmarked at the post-office counter to make sure they don’t miss the deadline.
