MISMATCH: By mutual agreement, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is parting ways with Chief of Staff Jon Haber only four months after hiring him. “It comes down to chemistry. . . . In this case it didn’t work,” says Feinstein spokesman Bill Chandler. Haber, a Los Angeles native who once served as counsel and communications director for the Senate Agriculture Committee, was hired to run Feinstein’s 35-person staff in Washington after an exhaustive search. He plans to remain in the $85,000-a-year post until a successor is named.
