‘Fast Forward’ for a Taste of McVideo

OAK BROOK, Ill. —
McDonald’s Corp. has a quick-serve answer for shareholders tired of poring over tables and numbers: “fast financials.”
The fast-food pioneer said it will ship its 1992 annual report--a 32-page document--to shareholders along with a 17-minute videocassette. The video features top managers discussing the company’s efforts in the global marketplace.
It isn’t the first time that McDonald’s has departed from convention when producing its yearly reports. Last year, the company’s 1991 annual report was conveyed in the format of a newspaper.
