A 23-year-old Tujunga man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of a 2-year-old child whose body was found by her mother Friday, Los Angeles police said.
Detective Paul Kimes said police arrested Dillon Feldman, the live-in boyfriend of the child’s mother. He was being held in jail in lieu of $1 million bail, according to Kimes.
The body of Bernadette Swett was found Friday morning in the couple’s Tujunga home, Kimes said. Paramedics were called and then police began investigating the death. Kimes declined to say what caused the death. He said police arrested Feldman after receiving the results of an autopsy Sunday.
Asked whether the child was previously abused, Kimes said the family “has a history” of involvement with the county Department of Children’s Services.
