Two More Indicted in Lockheed Probe: Two former top-ranking officials at Lockheed Corp. have been indicted on charges of accepting kickbacks for work at the company’s Marietta, Ga., aircraft plant, the U.S. attorney’s office in Atlanta said. The six-count indictment alleges that from 1977 to 1990, Virgil Copeland and Robert Sawyer conspired with other former Lockheed executives in soliciting more than $80,000 in kickbacks from subcontractors. The pair are the fifth and sixth people charged with engaging in corrupt business practices at the aerospace company’s Lockheed Aeronautical Corp. unit.
