Biotechnology Firm Opens Office in Hong Kong

Amgen Inc., the Thousand Oaks-based biotechnology concern, said it opened an office in Hong Kong and plans to spend $20 million over the next two years for expansion in Asia.
Amgen will focus on China, and has created Amgen Greater China Ltd. The company said it plans to open offices in Beijing and Shanghai by the end of the third quarter to educate doctors about Amgen’s drugs.
