Players Signs Development Option for Casino Site

Players International Inc. in Calabasas said it signed a development option with Inland Marina in Evansville, Ind., for a 15-acre riverboat casino site on the Ohio River.

Players, which markets services and products to the gambling industry, opened its first riverboat casino last February at Merv Griffin’s Landing along the Ohio River in Metropolis, Ill. It recently signed a contract to build a second riverboat casino in Lake Charles, La. Griffin, the television entertainer, is a major investor in the company.
