From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Gaye Derby-Lewis, wife of pro-apartheid politician Clive Derby-Lewis, was charged in the April 10 murder of black leader Chris Hani. She was arrested for questioning April 21 and held without bail. Police affidavits accuse her of arranging to obtain the addresses of several people, including Hani, whose names were on a hit list allegedly found in the apartment of Janusz Walus, a member of the neo-Nazi Afrikaner Resistance Movement, who was arrested minutes after Hani’s murder and charged in the slaying. Hani, head of the Communist Party and one of the most popular leaders of the African National Congress, was shot outside his home.
