Burbank Airport a Noisy Issue

Share

In 1986, when I bought my house in North Hollywood, there was no need for buyers to beware the Burbank Airport.

No planes flew over my house. The flight path was down Pass Avenue in Burbank, then west.

This was changed in early 1988 to a route directly over my house, with no concern for the residents of North Hollywood and Studio City.

It brought noise pollution, jet fuel pollution and lower property values. Some planes fly so low and are so loud that conversation must stop for up to one minute and my house vibrates as they fly over. The noise is not decreasing.

Although Burbank benefits from the tax base and increased business, no flights go out over Burbank residents. Let the proposed increased flights take off over Burbank.
