Three Area Cyclists Remain Near Lead

After the second day of the three-day 89er Stage Race in Norman, Okla., on Saturday, three area cyclists, who ride for the Miller Lite Cycling team, remain within striking range of first place.

The top 20 riders from Friday’s race finished in the same order a day later in a 90-mile road race, leaving Shawn Cronkhite of Chatsworth in fifth, Thurlow Rogers of Van Nuys in sixth and John Wordin of West Hills in 20th among a field of 162 national class riders.
