Accused Child Abuser Seems to Be a Victim of ‘Hysteria, Witch Hunt’

A congratulatory cheer to The Times for its report on the terrible miscarriage of justice in the case of Margaret Kelly Michaels. The prosecution’s allegations in this matter are so bizarre, and there is strong evidence that all corroborating testimony was produced by coercion and intimidation.

In matters of child molestation charges, it is very difficult for people to remain objective and carefully examine the case without prejudice toward innocent children.

In the case of Michaels, the prosecution further biased the jury by stating she was a lesbian, the intimation being that her sexual orientation was deviant and made the commission of the alleged molestations more likely. In the mind set of the jurors, the implausible arguments of the prosecution needed no logic once homophobic tendencies were aroused.
