Wordstar to Merge with Canadian Firm: Wordstar International, a personal computer software pioneer that has been in steady decline for years, said it would merge with Softkey Software Products Inc., a Toronto-based producer of consumer software. The combined companies, to be based at Wordstar’s headquarters in Novato, Calif., will have revenue of about $90 million, making it one of the larger publishers of consumer and home-office software.
