Foreign Exchange Reserves Up: Taiwan’s foreign exchange reserves, among the world’s largest, rose about $750 million last month to $83.2 billion, according to the Central Bank of China. The reserves gained on interest income and the appreciation of the Japanese yen against the U.S. dollar, a bank official said. Taiwan’s reserves hit a record $89.5 billion in September.
