Home Shopping Shareholder Lawsuit Dismissed: A Delaware state judge threw out a Home Shopping Network Inc. shareholders lawsuit, which sought to block Liberty Media Corp.’s proposed offer for the cable TV company. The decision clears the way for Liberty to buy 15 million Home Shopping shares for $7 a share. In April, Liberty, a spinoff of Tele-Communications Inc., offered to pay $8.96 a share for Home Shopping’s remaining 75 million shares, representing 35% of the company that it didn’t already own. The shareholders’ complaint contended that Liberty’s offer was at least $1.65 a share too low.
