Culver City : Senior Citizen Roommates

Share

Alternative Living for the Aging, a nonprofit organization that provides affordable-housing alternatives to low-income senior citizens, is offering roommate-matching services at the Culver City Senior Citizens Center.

ALA, established in 1978, has brought more than 4,250 people together to share houses, condos and apartments. Benefits of having a roommate include splitting rent, sharing housework, companionship and an increased sense of security, said the senior center’s acting director, Rosalie Gotz.

An ALA social service worker will be available Thursdays from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. The senior center is at 4153 Overland Ave.
